Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? It shall be no more, saith the Lord God.’
For there is a trial; and what if even the rod that contemneth shall be no more? saith the Lord Jehovah.
For this sword has been tested [on others]; and what if it views with contempt the scepter [of Judah]? The scepter shall be no more [but shall be swept away],” says the Lord God.
For this sword has been tested and proved [on others], and what if the rejecting and despising rod or scepter of Judah shall be no more but completely swept away? says the Lord God.
Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord God.
Surely it will be a trial! And what if the sword despises even the scepter? The scepter will not continue.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.
He’s testing. When even the rod rejects, will it not certainly happen? This is what the Lord God says.
The word of Adonai came to me:
I am testing my people, and they can do nothing to stop me. I, the Lord, have spoken.
For the trial [is made]; and what if even the contemning sceptre shall be no [more]? saith the Lord Jehovah.
Because it is tried: and that when it shall overthrow the sceptre, and it shall not be, saith the Lord God.
because it is not just a test. You refused to be punished with the wooden stick, so what else should I use to punish you? A sword?’” This is what the Lord God said.
I am ready to test my people. My sword does not respect the power of any king. So my people will not escape punishment. That is what the Almighty Lord says.
Yes, testing is sure to come. What if the scepter, which the sword despises, is no more? This is the declaration of the Lord God.
For it will not be a testing—what could it do if you despise the rod?” declares the Lord God.

“‘The test will come. ·And [L What if…?] the scepter [C symbolizing Judah; Gen. 49:10], who is hated by the sword [C representing the armies of Babylon], will not last, says the Lord God.’
For it is a trial, and what shall this be, if the sword contemn even the rod? It shall be no more, saith the Lord God.
Testing will surely come. What if you refuse to be disciplined again? Won’t you be tested? declares the Almighty Lord.
I am testing my people, and if they refuse to repent, all these things will happen to them.
Surely it will be a trial! And what if the sword despises even the scepter? The scepter will not continue. This is the declaration of the Lord God.
“‘The test will come. And Judah, who is hated by the armies of Babylon, will not last, says the Lord God.’
because testing is sure to come. ‘In putting the sword to the test along with the scepter, it won’t keep on rejecting, will it?’ declares the Lord God.”

For examine! And what if also the rod will not be despising?’ declares the Lord Yahweh.
It will put them all to the test—and what chance do they have?” the Lord God asks.
“‘Testing comes. Why have you despised discipline? You can’t get around it. Decree of God, the Master.’
Because it is a trial, and what if even the rod which despises shall be no more? says the Lord God.
Testing will surely come. What if you refuse to be disciplined again? Won’t you be tested? declares Adonay Yahweh.
The word of the Lord came to me:
For there is a testing; and what if even the rod which despises will cease to be?” declares the Lord God.
For there is a testing; and what if even the rod which despises will be no more?” declares the Lord God.
for the sword has been tested. And why should it not be so, says the Lord God, since you have spurned the rod?
“‘The test will come. And Judah, who is hated by the armies of Babylon, will not last, says the Lord God.’
“‘For testing will come, and what will happen when the scepter, which the sword despises, is no more? declares the Sovereign Lord.’
“You can be sure that testing will come. Why does the sword look down on the scepter? Because even the scepter will not continue to rule,” announces the Lord and King.
“‘Testing will surely come. And what if even the scepter, which the sword despises, does not continue? declares the Sovereign Lord.’
‘“Testing will surely come. And what if even the sceptre, which the sword despises, does not continue? declares the Sovereign Lord.”
“Because it is a testing, And what if the sword despises even the scepter? The scepter shall be no more,” says the Lord God.
They will be put to the test. If they do not turn from their sinful ways, these things will happen,” says the Lord God.’
It will put them all to the test. What chance do they have? says the Sovereign Lord.

For the test will come; so what happens if the sword repulses the scepter And the scepter is gone? I, the Eternal Lord, say this to you.
“For there is a trial. What if even the rod that condemns will be no more?” says the Lord Yahweh.
for it is proved; and this when it hath destroyed the sceptre, and it shall not be, saith the Lord God.
Because [it is] a trier, And what if even the sceptre it is despising? It shall not be, an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
